Tax Rate

The City Treasurer's Office bills and collects property taxes. Property valuations are computed by the Assessor's Office.

Property taxes are determined early in December of each year based on levies of the eight independent taxing units: the City of Glendale, the State of Wisconsin, the County of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County Metro Sewer District, the Joint District #1 Glendale-River Hills, The Joint District #8 Maple Dale-Indian Hills, Nicolet High School, and Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Tax credits determined by the State of Wisconsin are applied to the levies to affect the net taxes due. Special assessments and special charges (if applicable) are added to the tax amount to create the amount due. Tax records may be searched and viewed online.
