If your home experienced flood damage, please call 211 to report it to the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management.
For the next two weeks, yard waste collection will be suspended to use existing resources to collect storm-damaged items from the curb on your regular yard waste collection day starting tomorrow, 8/12/2025.
Residents whose pick-up is usually scheduled on Mondays will be collected on Saturday, 8/16/2025. You do not need to contact John's to schedule this pick-up. Eligible items include large furniture, drywall, carpet, and similar debris.
To help expedite collection, please cut drywall and carpet into 4-foot sections and tie or wrap them into manageable bundles. Please keep your items as manageable as possible to ensure timely collection.
Please note:
Only flood-damaged items will be collected.
Materials should be placed within 3 ft of the right-of-way and separated by type of debris.
Do not stack or lean materials against poles, fences, mailboxes, etc.
Items not damaged by the flood and placed at the curb will not be picked up.
If you observe any damage to public property, please report it through SeeClickFix.
